On Marin’s island, sunrise doesn’t come every
twenty-four hours—it comes every twenty-eight years. Now the sun is just a sliver of light on the horizon. The
weather is turning cold and the shadows are growing long.
Because sunset triggers the tide to roll out hundreds of miles, the islanders are frantically preparing to sail south, where they will wait out the long Night.

Cover:
Again
whoever these artists are totally understand what creepy is. The packaging form
the publisher was amazing (wish I got that part). Everything seems to tie into
the story and the suspense is killing me to see who the Others are.
Characters:
Marin:
She seems daring but in the sense she wants to impress Lane. She also seems
like the motherly type for watching over the house and keeping an eye on Bo.
Kana: I
can`t judge him too much besides the fact he seems very broody
Line:
He seems very unprepared but you can tell he really cares about his little
brother. From what I gather he is really Kana`s friend but he is having these
feelings for Marin even though he really shouldn`t have them.
Plot:
You
have to clean the houses and leave no trace or else….the or else is what I
really want to learn about but I feel like the build up to it is kind of slow.
The statue in the water part was cool right at the beginning.
Overall Rating: 2.5/5
(so far)
My goal
was to have this finished however I didn’t make it farther than 19% and had to
put it aside. I`m truly hoping this is a “me thing” and not the book itself. I
might have just read too many “scary” books in a row for this week.
So have you read Nightfall? Should I pick it back up?
TTFN,
Ashley
