Seventeen-year-old Arden Huntley is recklessly loyal. Taking care of her loved ones is what gives Arden purpose in her life and makes her feel like she matters. But she's tired of being loyal to people who don't appreciate her—including her needy best friend and her absent mom. 
Arden finds comfort in a blog she stumbles upon called "Tonight the Streets Are Ours," the musings of a young New York City writer named Peter.

This had so much potential to be amazing but the stalkerness was too close to home for me so I wasn`t comfortable.If you don`t mind her obsessiveness about guys and her driving 100+ miles to see this guy then feel free to read it. The blog posts Peter writes are enjoyable. I really wanted to like this, I really did.

This cover is freaking gorgeous. The colors just pull you in and scream fun. However I didn’t feel this way about the inside.

Characters: 1/5

Arden: Is obsessive in the worst way. She is very stalkerish but like the book states she is “recklessly loyal.”

Lindsay: Part One: Absolutely hate her. She has no boundaries and doesn`t care who gets in trouble for her. Part Two: She encouraged Arden to do those things plus who the hell runs off and does illegal things with strangers? Oh Wait apparently she does.

Peter: I liked him I really did. I loved his posts and how he aspired to be a writer. Part two I just wanted to kill him and just GAH!!!!

Chris: Part One: I wanted to punch him for being a selfish dick towards Arden and just taking advantage of her as a girlfriend. Part Two: smart man, yay for acting and having other friends.

Plot: NO I`m Done

She is obsessive and very creepy even if she "means well""

Last 15pgs were good. The concept was there about not always relying on others and that you need to take care of yourself. However the characters just didn't do it for me

Review: Everything,Everything by Nicola Yoon

Overall Rating: 5/5

I adored this book. I originally rated it a 5/5 for me but after stewing it over I`m thinking I should decrease to a 4/5 because yes that plot twist OMG and the non-awkwardness of Olly and Maddy`s first date. I guess I wanted it to be weird and uncomfortable. I would highly suggest picking this one up though. The format is great and you don’t want to put it down.

BEA `15 First group in line for Nicola`s signing

Cover: 5/5

I love this cover. It’s Everything it needs to be. The colors are great and I love how the white just contrasts the chaotic bottom. It’s like the two sides to Maddy`s life.

Characters: 5/5

Maddy: She wants to not only live but live a life worth remembering. Being locked in a house and not having an exciting life has to be rough. She is so smart, almost too smart for her own good.

Olly: He is different, but in a good way. Next door he deals with an abusive, alcoholic father, and a mother who won’t leave. At first, he tries to visit Maddy at home, but when that fails epically, he starts writing notes on his bedroom window (Which is so swoon worthy)

Plot: 4.5/5

So this is where it gets hard on my rating. So much happens that I can`t really talk about cause of things. I would like to talk about the format instead though. Anna over at Starcrossedbookblog does an amazing review of this. The format is full of Madeline’s notes, IM`s and just general thoughts. I think the reason why I was able to read this so quickly was due to the format. It was fast paced and flowed so nicely.

BEA Recap: Day 2 and 3

Thursday: Fangirl moment

Adi Alsaid

Today was amazing and hectic. Loved randomly meeting Adi Alsaid over at Passenger. He was so polite and signed my book. For sure a highlight of my day. I felt like a little girl asking for his picture because look at him he's pretty cute.








I also received a signed copy of Collectors edition MazeRunner/Scorch Trials from James Dashner, Armada by Ernest Cline, Passenger by Alexandra Bracken and The Cage by Megan Shepard.

In total I came back to the hotel with 21 books but 1 is being given to a friend.

Overall it was a successful 2nd day. Tomorrow is going to be a little better after I stand in line for Leigh Bardugo Six of Crows. From that point on it will be more of a relaxed wondering around day.

Friday: Signing Time

Today was by far the best day. Got every book on my list for today. 6 of them are signed the other 4 were drops.

Leigh Bardugo and I talked about nails and I got a picture with her.


Julie Murphy thought it was awesome that her line was so long. Oh I got to hold the sign to start that line.

Michael Buckley

Michael Buckley jumped up and hugged me when I got to his in booth signing for Undertow. He kept teasing me over Twitter about riding my horse to get places quicker.

Rainbow Rowell

Met Jackson Pearce and fangirled over her fairytale retellings. Sadly no pictures because of there being a line.

Started and stood in line with some amazing vloggers for
Everything,Everything by Nicola Yoon. She was so sweet and then Rainbow Rowell cut us in line and we told her as long as we could take a selfie it was acceptable.

Went to get Never,Never by Brianna Shrum. It's a Peter Pan type story. I really got it signed because a fellow blogger Hafsah Lazaif designed the cover and it is gorgeous.

Walt stood in line for Soundless by Richelle Mead. She wasn't personalizing cause of the long line but Walt pulled the "it's for my great granddaughter" card.

To wrap up the last day of BEA we went to a blogger dinner at Bourbon Street Bar & Grill. Delicious food and great bookish company. Lots of laughs and memories. Felt so surreal to be around blogs that I've followed for years and have them talking to me.

Overall Id say the last day was successful. I'm excited to do tourist things this weekend. I'm so grateful that Walt came with me and stood in all those crazy lines just to get books with me. It means the world and I know I'm a lucky great granddaughter.

BEA Recap: The flight and Day 1

Tuesday: The Flight

After several cancellations and getting a flight finally to arrive at 130am NYC, BEA can finally start. Was a little rocky but I'm looking forward to a fantastic week.

Finished 1.5 books and 2 movies on the 5hr 20min flight. Guess me sleeping is a no go when I'm in the middle seat. Hoping on the way back I get a window seat.


Wednesday: Day 1

Arrived at Javits at 815am. Got our passes and grabbed some Starbucks for breakfast. Walked around the 2 floors we had access too until getting in line at 11.

From 11-1 we waited in line, talked with people around us then followed the masses into the exhibit hall.

The first 10min went in a blur. Almost everyone was headed to the Truthwitch tickets from MacMillan. Got caught in that rush but missed out by 3 people :/

After that adventure Walt and I were handed tote bags and then wondered the floor. Ended up meeting some amazing people standing in line.

We walked back to hotel around 445/5pm to unload the mass of books for Day 1.

Was originally going to a meet-up at a cafe at 7 but decided the diner a street away sounded tastier.

Now just relaxing in room. Organizing the books and awesome swag from today. Will be having 2 giveaways on the blog (not FB) so look forward to those.

So highlight was 2 signed books and being told I was White listed for Shadow Mountain publishing on Edielwiess (an e-book advanced copy site)

We get to wake up early and get going to first signing by 915am.

So far so good.

I Will Be Attending BEA this Year! (pardon my flailing)

Here is me back in January haven`t changed much. Hair is a little darker

Walt (great grandfather) and I fly into NYC Tuesday night and will be flying back home the following Monday. We are only going to BEA Wednesday-Friday, then the weekend will be for tourist type things. 

I have my business cards all made up.

My Schedule is typed and at least semi decent.
