The “Boyfriend” will go by Sean. I’ve known Ashley for quite
a long time now and reading is one of the many things we have in common. We
love a good story to lose ourselves in, putting us into another place and time.
We’ve been talking about this on and off for a while and I am finally deciding
to jump in and be a co-blogger with her. What got me into it was the wide range
of literature out there and the blogging community covers all of that and I
wanted to do my part for book lovers everywhere and help out my favorite
authors in the process.
My favorite genre to read is fantasy.
My favorite author is most definitely
R.A. Salvatore, followed very close by Jim Butcher. J.R.R. Tolkien will always
have a special place in my heart because I see myself as his character Samwise
Gamgee.
A few
hobbies I have besides reading is; school that will be predominant for the next
several years. I won`t always be able to read for fun as much as I would like
to because of that. I love to go to the river and bowl with my friends; I also
ride horses, and am very much a nerd at heart. I’m in love with the role
playing game Dungeons and Dragons and also enjoy sitting down to a good card
game of Magic the Gathering. I always imagine myself as the patient and ever so
faithful Samwise when I’m in that nerdy/geeky kind of mood.
Three
series I would recommend are; the Codex Alera series by Jim Butcher; The Legacy
of the Drow by R.A. Salvatore (the best epic series next to Lord of the Rings);
finally; if you haven’t read Lord of the Rings by J.R.R Tolkien then you
haven’t lived life yet.
I am always
looking for suggestions of new books to try and am very willing to branch out
into different genres to read. Recently I have found the YA Sci-Fi to be fairly
entertaining, and yes I am talking about the Boyfriend POV posts about the
Across the Universe Trilogy by Beth Revis.
May the Force Be With You,
Sean
