Synopsis:
"In The Boyfriend App by Katie Sise, super-smart, somewhat geeky Audrey McCarthy can’t wait to get out of high school. Her father’s death and the transformation of her one-time BFF, Blake Dawkins, into her worst nightmare have her longing for the new start college will bring.
But college takes money. So Audrey decides she has to win the competition for the best app designed by a high schooler—and the $200,000 that comes with it. She develops something she calls the Boyfriend App, and suddenly she’s the talk of the school and getting kissed by the hottest boys around. But can the Boyfriend App bring Audrey true love?"
Review:
The nerdiness of this book, the I can`t put this down feels because of how much i can relate to it. Katie Sise not only writes a fantastic plot but she also makes Audrey totally relate able to the geek in all of this. I pre-ordered the book when I saw it mentioned on an Epic Reads` TeaTime episode.
The idea of an App that could locate your perfect match due to an in depth survey seems plausable but to make an app that creates Intsta-Love is way off the chart cool. The jargon Katie uses in her book shows how she did her research and knows what she is talking about. Being a college student and needing money myself to pay for I'd kill for an app contest like that.
I found myself comparing Aidan to one of my close friends, throwing in the multiple ethnicity showed how hat even the Indian kid wasn't as smart as he is made out to be. I can't wait to read more of Katie Sise's stories, she is my new Insta-Buy author.
