Reading Rendezvous is a weekly feature created by the Fern Team for the
Book Blogger Creativity Project that acts as a travel guide, highlighting
places we would like to visit and recommending books that take place there.
This is the first post of a new feature created by our group for the
Book Blogger Creativity Project that was started by Nori @ Read Write Love. In order to
introduce everyone involved in our group, we are doing our first post as a
group kind of. Each of us will be featuring an author from the state we are
from!
I decided to choose: Chico,Ca as my location and my
author is………..Laini Taylor!!!!!
About Author: (Straight from her bio on blog)
Laini Taylor writes books for
youngish people,
but they can also be
read and enjoyed by oldish people, aka grown-ups.
You know grown-ups? They
tend to be a little bigger and hairier than kids.
But not always.

What a neat feature idea! I'm doing the BBCP too so I know how hard it is to come up with something. Do you have a connection to Chico, California or are you just a big fan of the books?
ReplyDeleteI live like super close to Chico adn have joined in on many trails rides around the area as well as the annual Polar Plunge.
DeleteWhen will your group be posting for BBCP? I`m super excited to see all the groups.
Ashley
That's so cool that Laini Taylor is from your area! I loved her Daughter of Smoke and Bone trilogy! Great job, Team Fern!
ReplyDeleteI haven't read the Daughter of Smoke and Bone series yet, but I want to! That's cool that you've done the Polar Plunge! My high school used to do that, but I never participated in it! Bidwell Park looks really pretty! Great post! :)
ReplyDeleteCyra,
DeleteYou totally should check it out. Its a great series.
I don`t think I`ll be plunging again. This last year was pretty rough. I think because I knew what to expect (freezing cold water, mass amounts of people) Honestly it was a good thing my boyfriend was willing to jump back in and grab me or else I would still be stuck trying to pull myself out.
Ashley
Very Interesting! As a Canadian thinking about California, the idea of a polar bear plunge seems so bizarre to me! I always think it's super warm there :P
ReplyDeleteNice blog.. I am searching for this kind of stuff... Thanks blog admin Freshers walkin
