I've noticed that every few books, despite my feelings toward them, get pushed farther and father back in terms of writing a review (maybe I just rather read than write reviews) - the longer it takes for me to write the review thee less I am able to recall my thoughts about the book.
I don't know why it happens,(okay maybe I do know) but it does.
So without further ado . . . A few of these backlogged reviews :)

My Heart and Other Black Holes by Jasmine Warga
Synopsis:
Sixteen-year-old physics nerd Aysel is obsessed with plotting her own death. With a mother who can barely look at her without wincing, classmates who whisper behind her back, and a father whose violent crime rocked her small town, Aysel is ready to turn her potential energy into nothingness.
Final Thoughts:
Overall Warga does a fantastic job introducing the characters and creating a great story. There was a lot of emotions throughout the book which made it twice as amazing. I actually took this book and cut it to use in my Oral Interpretation class, so that was fun.
Playlist for The Dead by Michelle Falkoff
Synopsis:
Here's what Sam knows: There was a party. There was a fight. The next morning, his best friend, Hayden, was dead. And all he left Sam was a playlist of songs, and a suicide note: For Sam—listen and you'll understand.
Final Thoughts:
Keeping on my apparent suicide/depressing reading streak I picked up this lovely book. I loved how not only did we get to learn about Hayden and his “other life” we learned about Sam as well. I found out about four chapters in that the songs from the playlist were listed (talk about being present in the book). I went back and listened to the songs after finishing the book so it added a sort of interactive part which was pretty unique. Would for sure reread this one.
