Hello everyone I am sorry I havent posted ANYTHING in the past week. I had all these amazing goals then my personal life turned to crap. I have had less than 2 hours of read time in this week (which also means no time to write any reviews).
I am going to spend the next weekend just laying everything out and getting back on track.
Heres some questions to get you thinking before bed:
Question: Can You Quote a Book Without Looking?
’Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone’ he told me ‘just remember that all the people in this world haven’t had the advantages that you’ve had’” – The Great Gatsby
Question: What YA Book Am I Missing Out On?
There has got to be YA Books out there that ya`ll have read that I havent talked about. Give me some ideas since X-Mas is coming up.
Question: Should It Be Illegal To Wait A Whole Year For The Next Book In A Series?
I understand the author is still working on the book but I have a love/hate with having to wait on series endings. (IE. Dreams of Gods&Monsters, Ignite Me, Ruin & Rising)
I smell books new or old. They smell nice, in fact my BFF asked what I would say he smelt like and I told him new books and trees.
See question above.
Let me know your responses in the comments below.
Miss you all and will get back to posting next week.
TTFN,
Ashley
Ashley,
ReplyDeleteI don't know if I can quote any books. . . maybe. . . it's a tough thing to think about. For the YA books, have you read the entire Giver series? There are 4 books, and they are awesome! For the "waiting a year" thing, I think that authors can do it, but they need to be smart about it. I want a GOOD book, not one that's churned out quickly just to reach an audience quickly, you know?
As for gifts. . . I sometimes stalk my friend's Pinterest boards. If they pinned it, I know they like it! :)
Thanks for linking up with the Spread the Love Linky Party! :)
Rebecca;
DeleteLove the pin stalking Idea. I dont use Pinterest as much as i should.
I do want the good book but sometimes i have little patients. I like that now authors come out with the novellas to keep us readers happy.
Thanks for stopping by,
Ashley
I don't know about quoting books, I think maybe some, yes, but not any of the classics so people would really have no idea what I was talking about. I like Rebecca's idea about scanning pins, I might try it myself!
ReplyDeleteI like the pin scanning idea as well.
DeleteAt least when you meet someone and start quoting a line or two and they do recognize it you have something to start a conversation with.
