The Companions by R.A. Salvatore
I am a huge fan of R.A. Salvatore and all of his writings.
His series of Drizzt Do’ Urden is one of my absolute favorites because of his
character development and he brought them all back together a few hundred years
later after the Spell Plague hit the Forgotten Realms.
I love seeing how all my favorite characters advance through
childhood, or I should say their second childhood. The best part was seeing ten
year old Bruenor Battlehammer beat his dwarven teacher in hand to hand combat.
I can’t wait to get ahold of the next book and continue the adventure; I hope
the story isn’t ruined when the new author writes the next book in the series.
Recommendation Scale:
{1-2-3-4-5}
Overall: 5/5
Character Development:
4.5/5
Plot: 5/5
Originality: 5/5

It's a great series. To really understand Drizzt's background and the story of the other adventurers I would recommend starting with Homeland by R.A. Salvatore and finishing the entire Legend of Drizzt Series and the Neverwinter Saga before starting The Companions. Those series all lead up to The Companions.
