Author you’ve read the most books
from:
Jeaniene Frost: 10 Books The Night Huntress Series (adult
fantasy)
Best Sequel Ever:
A Million Suns by Beth Revis (The whole trilogy was amazing but,
AMS wasn`t a filler novel like most Book 2`s are.)
Currently Reading:
How to Fall in Love with English Boys
Drink of Choice While Reading:
Pepsi or Sweet Tea! I can tell the difference between Coke and
Pepsi. I don`t sleep when I read
E-reader or Physical Book?
I have a Nook and a Tablet with both B&N and Kindle App.
Even though I have E-readers I just have to have physical books. If I bought
the eBook or received it for review and loved it will most likely purchase it
in physical form
Fictional Character You Probably
Would Have Actually Dated In High School:
Sean might kill me for this but I think Logan from Summer I
Became a Nerd by Leigh Rae Miller. (his brother`s name is Logan) That is my
dream nerd. If I had to go with a second choice I think I would have crushed
hard on Bones from Jeanine Frost`s Night Huntress. He is hot, bad-boy the type
of guy your mother warned you about.
Glad You Gave This Book a
Chance:
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo (This book had so much hype I
didn’t want to read it and be disappointed)
Hidden Gem Book:
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmerman Bradley.
This is not a YA book just a heads up. It is Arthurian Times
told by the Lady of The Lake. The movie is top notch but the book as also gives
twice as much detail.
Important Moment in your Reading
Life:
Discovering Amazon used and BEA. Without the used option on
Amazon I would not have bought most of the books I have in the past 2 years. I
can get a $16 hardcover for only $4 slightly used. I love it plus my wallet
loves it too. BEA I only knew about it this year. I have convinced Sean that we
should save money and attend next year. As soon as passes go on sale we are
buying for the 4-days.
Just Finished:
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo
Kinds of Books You Won’t Read:
I will read pretty much any book at least once (part of me being
open). However I will not pick up a book that screams religious
Longest Book You’ve Read:
InkDeath by Cornelia Funke (663pg according to Goodreads.)
I feel as if I have read
longer books so it might be time to update my read shelf.
Major book hangover because of:
Anastasia Forever by Joy Preble.
Finished while on the road and I couldn’t read another book for
2.5weeks. Even now everything I pick up I don’t have this desire to not put it
down. (Minus Shadow and Bone)
Number of Bookcases You Own:
4. Three bookshelves. Two white skinny ones and one fatter wood
one. I also have a trumpet case as a night stand and it hold about 12 books
(TBR pile). Plus Sean holds onto “our” to read together books because he knows
I would be tempted to read by myself.
One Book You Have Read Multiple Times:
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmerman Bradley.
I read this twice then let a friend borrow my large paperback
copy. Something happened and now 4 years later I finally decided to replace it
with the exact same cover. After I finish review books I plan on re-reading it.
I even can quote certain scenes and remember pages from it.
Preferred Place To Read:
I took all my clothes out of my closet so I could make a reading
nook. I lay on blankets and crates but it is my “alone” space. I also like to
read in the car on long car rides. I am lucky to be the only one in my family
blessed with the ability to read and look at maps while in a moving vehicle.
Quote that inspires you/gives you all
the feels from a book you’ve read:
“Do not pity the dead Harry, pity the living, and, above those
who live without love.” J.K. Rowling (Dumbledore)
This book quote reminds me of a Moulin Rouge movie quote (which is
probably from something else) “The greatest thing you`ll ever learn is just to
love and be loved in return” Christian from Moulin Rouge
Reading Regret:
I regret not having discovered the blogging community sooner.
Even though I don`t know personally any bloggers (besides Sean) I would have
loved to get closer with fellow book lovers. I am hoping to change that regret
though.
Series You Started and Need to Finish
(all books are out in series):
I started Vampire Academy by Richelle Meade but I need to read
the last two books. I also want to start the spin-off series at some point.
Three of your All-Time Favorite Books:
The Mists of Avalon by Marion Zimmerman Bradley, Pendragon by
D.J. McHale and Across the Universe by Beth Revis
Harry Potter as a whole would be on here but the above books
make an impact on my life as well.
Unapologetic Fangirl For:
Russian Novels and Hitler. Let me put this out there now. I do
not condone what Adolf Hitler did; I just enjoy reading books about WW2. The
Russian portion is any historical fiction that mentions the Romanov Family. So
I may fangirl a little over those but the rest of my fangirling is spread
evenly in the world.
Very Excited For This Release More
Than All The Others:
Mortal Heart by Robin LeFevers (Book 3 of His Fair Assassins)
Dreams of Gods and Monsters by Laini Taylor (Book3 of Daughter of Smoke &
Bone) Blood of Tyrants (Temeraire Book 8)
Worst Bookish Habit:
I posted about my quirks/habits here http://books-4-review.blogspot.com/2013/07/day-seven-blogging-quirks.html
But an actual book habit would be throwing my books in my large
book bag and taking them everywhere. I also want my books to be in clean order
but when I take forever to finish a book I tend to leave wear marks because of
the traveling.
X Marks The Spot: Start at the top left
of your shelf and pick the 27th book:
Lost Prince by Julia Kagawa
I got out of bed to do this survey give me some cookies hehe
Your latest book purchase:
Siege and Storm by Leigh Bardugo. I could not wait until 2014
for the paperback to come out so I purchased the hardcover.
ZZZ-snatcher book (last book that
kept you up WAY late):
Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo. I started the night on page 45
and stayed up till 2am to finish the book. I may have been grumpy the next day.
Haven’t stayed up late like that since Days of Blood and Starlight by Laini
Taylor (on release night of book)
TTFN,
