I did not post at all this week adn for that I am sorry. Just got home from a huge horse competition.
So here is my mash-up of the past week.
"Don`t think I haven`t noticed the way you eye my laboratory, Odile."
pg 69 The Strange Cae of Doctor Jekyll and Mademoiselle Odile.
Just started the book last night on the 2.5 hour drive home.

In the future, only one rule will matter:
Don’t. Ever. Peek.
Seventeen-year-old Ari Alexander just broke that rule and saw the last person she expected hovering above her bed — arrogant Jackson Locke, the most popular boy in her school. She expects instant execution or some kind of freak alien punishment, but instead, Jackson issues a challenge: help him, or everyone on Earth will die.
Ari knows she should report him, but everything about Jackson makes her question what she’s been taught about his kind. And against her instincts, she’s falling for him. But Ari isn’t just any girl, and Jackson wants more than her attention. She’s a military legacy who’s been trained by her father and exposed to war strategies and societal information no one can know — especially an alien spy, like Jackson. Giving Jackson the information he needs will betray her father and her country, but keeping silent will start a war.
They say you can’t judge a book by its cover, but there’s no question that it can make a difference!
What book(s) have your favorite covers? Something that’s perfect for the story, the tone, the colors, the mood…
I have purchased books from her site as well as read a couple of the books she has posted reviews on.

And did you pick up the book BECAUSE of the cover? Or were you going to read it anyway?
So many questions hopefully I can get full responses.
My Response: I actually decided the begining of summer to only pick up books that had covers theat drew me in. So I have roughly fifteen books that I plan on reading that have intriguing covers.
One that I bought strictly on looks alone was Grave Mercy and it was everything the cover promised. A Goregous girl + ancient weaponary= totally badass
. I dont think I would have bought it if it wasnt for the cover catching my eye.
